What This Is All About

"Everybody's normal until you get to know them."
"Normal is a setting on your dryer."
"Normal is whatever you grow up with."
"Normal is whatever applies to most of the people most of the time."

The neighbors think we're normal.  We're quiet, keep up with the yard work reasonably well, and haven't had too many emergency vehicles show up at the house. But my family does deal with a lot of issues and some days I know it's only by the grace of God that we're still intact.

The neighbors may think your family is normal, too.  Maybe you put on a good front but there are emotional or relational or physical things going on inside the home that they don't know about?

Maybe you'd like to talk about those things with somebody?

I'd like to share a little bit about what our family life is like.  It's not at all intolerable; most days are in fact pretty good and we enjoy each other's company and laugh a lot.  But there have been some tough and uncertain times and we're probably not done with those.

Maybe you'll be encouraged that you're not alone in the neighbors thinking you're normal.  I hope so.

God bless, friends.

Henry
